Cave Story comes to Wii with updated graphics!

Granted it’s not anything truely spectacular but the 8-bit graphics of the classic Cave Story is getting a make over for it’s Wii release soon.
What is Cave Story you ask? A freeware platformer created over five years by Daisuke “Pixel” Amaya with an English translation handled by Aeon Genesis. I won’t spoil the plot but if you enjoy exploration based games along the lines of Metroid of the more recent Castlevania games then you can download Cave Story at: http://www.acid-play.com/download/cave-story/
With that, Cave Story’s release for the Wii is not only getting updated graphics but a remixed sound track. Don’t worry purists, there remains an option to go back to the original graphics and music should you desire it. The game will support 480i resolution so no worries about squinting your eyes hoping to see the characters. I will be giving Cave Story for the Wii a review when it comes out before the end of the year along with other freeware games you might be interested in. Stay tuned!
